Hi, I just received Thomas' mail about tagging of KDE 2.2.1. The translations of traditional Chinese are almost done, except kdelibs.po. We have contacted the translator of kdelibs.po and hopefully he can finish it as soon as possible. I emergently ask if it is possible to delay the tagging for several hours? Thank you very much!
I already sent a msg to that effect to Waldo (see below). Most critical point is that the "PluralForms" variable still wasn't set in kdelibs.po despite a warning message to Kevin Lo and Kenduest Lee back on August 22.
For the renaming issue, I think at least two things have to be changed. First, the directory name should be changed to zh_TW. Second, the locale name in all .desktop should also be changed to zh_TW, i.e.,
Name[zh_TW]=... Comment[zh_TW]=... ...
Your help is very appreciated.
I have to pass on that one.

Thomas

Hi,
This is mostly to confirm the list of 41 languages for the 2.2.1 release I already posted to the mailing list this weekend. Changes compared to 2.2 are marked with (new).
Two important things regarding traditional Chinese (zh_TW.Big5):
* Just a few minutes ago one of the translators asked me again about the notorious "PluralForms" variable in kdelibs.po and I explained it for the n-th time. If they can't get around it within the next few hours I will try and set it myself and notify you as soon as it is done.
I hope it is possible for you to wait that long with the tagging?
* The same team (thankfully) changed their encoding to utf-8 now. But Hans Petter Bieker and others tell me this could lead to conflicts with existing i18n packages which had the old big5 encoding. So could you please rename the language package from "zh_TW.Big5" to just "zh_TW"? (This is what Coolo suggested although I'm not sure if it wasn't safer to just rename the CVS directory.)
Regards,
Thomas
