Hi, Allen
Glad you reply quickly.
Have anyone in this mail list working on the translation of GNOME'
interface, As many people reach the GNOME, interface is what
them first see.
The manual is a rich information resource about
different Linux distributions, but it's too big. I am admire what you
are doing. In mainland, some people start working on translation
of man-pages also.

Hi, Wang Jian:
I am happy to meet you! What about progress of GNOME's messages? And how
many people working on this? Have any arrangement? Need help? I can share
your works. Do you have any list of translation status? As same as GNOME's?

Hi. Allen
I don't know why the speed is too slow when I visit your site(from
mainland). I want to know: You are work only for Mandrake? not
GNOME desktop and other softwares? I get know from GNOME's
translation status the working is less 30% on zh_CN. I think to
improve it.

Subject: Translations for KDE2 Release Candidate
Hi,
Matthias Hoelzer-Kluepfel asked me to send him a list of the languages
for the KDE2 Release Candidate until Thursday. This will be the last
version to go out before the definite 2.0 release. (As you know by now:
in 2.0 we will only include languages which are reported as being
"ready for release" by the translation coordinators listed at
http://i18n.kde.org/teams/. Languages that are not reported as "ready"
can either be included in a post-release a few weeks later or postponed
until 2.01, 2.1, whatever. If we don't get any feedback on the status
of the language we will remove the team data after the 2.0 release and
regard the language as unmaintained.)
I'm attaching a preliminary list of what looks like candidates for the
main and the post release at the moment. It is based on the data from
the status table at http://i18n.kde.org/stats/gui/kde2-beta-status.html
and still can change until definite release.
Please send me any feedback which should be considered in this area
until Wednesday (apart from checking if I forgot somebody, of course).
I'm especially unsure regarding the teams in the right column. Some of
them show a lot of activity but may not make it until either release.
Others had pretty good figures during the beta but were going back in
the last weeks. I would appreciate any feedback in private mail from
these teams about their plans.
BTW: according to the status table, two teams still haven't converted
desktop.po to UTF-8 (Spanish and Traditional Chinese). I have to remind
you again that desktop.po MUST be in UTF-8 in order to work with KDE2
and that it is also strongly recommended to convert all other PO files
to that format.
Regards,
Thomas

Thanks for reporting this error.
I'll correct it in these days.
I hope traditional Chinese can be report as being
"ready for release" in KDE2.
Please let me know if there is any other problem.

Hi team,
Allen Hsu and his team in Taiwan is working on translating Mandrake 7.2 manual. He called us to work together.
Since I will be out for a couple of weeks. Anyone who has interest and time please contact with Allen and Camille to start the task soon.
Camille from the manual team of mandrake send me a brief introduction as follow.
>Every answer is in the mandraker documentation howto, accessible from
>revious link
>http://www.linux-mandrake.com/doc/mdk-doc-howto/index.html
>
>All is written in DocBook and stored in a CVS.
>Allen told me that you have experience in writing in chinese with
>DocBook, that shouldn't be a problem.
>If you wish to join the whole team, and the technical aspect with
>chinese is not a problem, you are much welcomed.
Best regards,
Danny
