What would you like to translate?
For KDE and Gnome, it would be best to contact the i18n coordinator directly,
but for Mandrake-specific tools:
Basically Mandrake tools are (mostly) translated but there are still some
untranslated fields, fuzzy fields, or fields which have not been translated
well.
If you wish to see what po need cleaning up, you can try browsing the CVS.
http://cvs.mandrakesoft.com/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi. You can find all Mandrake
tools under the "/soft" directory. The only exception is the graphical
installer, which you can find under the "/gi" directory.
Thanks for your interest in translation! :-)

hi,
I am translating libgnomeui in Gnome 2.0!
Any objection?
Thanks

yes.

that doesn't involve any conversion :)

Yes, but, itsn't it better than displaying in English?
it is only in the case where a native translation doesn't exist; then
if a translation of the other sort of Chinese exists, then a charset
conversion is done and it is displayed.
It only happens when a proper translation is not available

So you think that displaying in English is better?

Hello, members of the Chinese team at `zh-l10n(a)linux.org.tw'. This is a
message from the Translation Project robot. I`m happy to announce that
a new file, available as:
>
http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/contrib/po/teams/PO/zh/gettext-0.10.40.zh.po
has been integrated in the central PO archives, and is now kept with
all other accepted Chinese translations. The file should soon be made
available in mirror sites as:
> ftp://ftp.unex.es/pub/gnu-i18n/po/teams/PO/zh/gettext-0.10.40.zh.po
> ftp://ftp.chg.ru/pub/doc/gnu-i18n/teams/PO/zh/gettext-0.10.40.zh.po
All its 118 messages have been translated, and this PO file has been
submitted to the maintainer of `gettext', hoping s/he will include
it in a future release of programs using this textual domain.
Let me thank you for all users of the Chinese language.
The following HTML pages should also be updated by tomorrow.
